Account and data deletion information

This page helps you exercise your right to delete your Vebarua account. Below is what happens when you complete deletion on this page.

What is deleted or anonymised

• Your profile is deleted and personal details (such as name, photo, bio, and similar profile fields) are removed so you are no longer identifiable in the product in the usual way.
• Your sign-in identity for Vebarua is invalidated as part of closure; you should not expect to use the same account to access the service again unless you sign-up afresh.
• Associated app content tied to your worker account (for example CV data held for your profile) is removed as part of the same technical process.

What may be retained and why

• Legal, security, and financial records. Some information may be kept where the law requires it, or in de-identified or aggregated form for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or regulatory compliance (for example records related to payments, bookings, or tax). The data is retained for a period of 7 years.
• Legal hold. If an account is subject to a legal hold, deletion may be delayed or limited until the restriction is lifted.

Timing

Deletion is processed when you successfully verify your number, confirm the word DELETE, and submit this form. You will receive a short confirmation by SMS where delivery is possible.

Irreversibility

Account deletion is intended to be permanent. You may need to register again as a new user if you return to Vebarua later.

Wallet or payouts

If our systems show a wallet balance or payouts that are not yet completed, you will be asked to tick a confirmation box before deletion can finish. Deleting your account does not cancel any amounts you already owe under our terms.
